These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Splitsa and all other products on the Simplaful platform, operated by Show 4 Reel Media Pty Ltd (New South Wales, Australia). By using Splitsa you agree to these Terms.
1. Your Simplaful Account
A single Simplaful account gives you access to all Simplaful products at the free tier. Paid features within each product require a separate subscription for that product. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity that occurs under it.
2. Acceptable Use
You may use the Services only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Use the Services to violate any applicable law or regulation
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Services or another user's account
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services or connected infrastructure
- Use automated scripts or bots to access the Services without written permission
- Reproduce, resell, or exploit any part of the Services without written consent
3. Subscriptions and Payments
Free plan: Splitsa's core event coordination — creating events, inviting participants, RSVPs, shared lists, and cost-splitting — is free. Participants never pay to take part in an event.
Pro plan: US$29 per year, billed annually. Unlocks organiser productivity features such as reusable event templates, recurring events, automation, advanced organiser tools, and removal of Splitsa branding.
Renewal: Annual subscriptions renew automatically. You will receive a reminder before renewal. Cancel any time via Settings → Billing.
Cancellation: You retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period.
Refunds: A 14-day refund window applies from the date of initial purchase. Contact support@simplaful.com within 14 days for a full refund. After 14 days, payments are non-refundable except where required by law.
4. Shared Costs and Payments Between Participants
Splitsa helps you record, split, and track shared event costs. Splitsa is not a payment processor and is not a party to payments between participants. We do not hold, transfer, or guarantee any funds exchanged between you and other participants — those settlements happen directly between you. Stripe processes only your Splitsa subscription billing.
5. Your Data
You retain full ownership of all data you input into Splitsa — events, participant details, lists, and contribution records. We claim no rights to your content beyond what is necessary to operate the Services. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. You may export your data at any time.
6. Intellectual Property
The Simplaful platform, Splitsa software, design, and trademarks are owned by Simplaful / Show 4 Reel Media Pty Ltd. You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer any part of the Services.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of event details, cost splits, and any amounts shown.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SIMPLAFUL'S LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING ANY CLAIM, OR AUD $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED UNDER AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW.
9. Australian Consumer Law
Our Services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a refund or replacement for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
12. Changes to These Terms
We will notify you of material changes by email and by updating the date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
